FAQs About this product

Do BeaconLights work without the DDU5?

No — BeaconLights are designed exclusively for use with the BavarianSimTec DDU5 dashboard. They connect via the DDU5's dedicated BeaconLight port and are powered and controlled through the DDU5. The DDU5 is required and sold separately.

How many BeaconLights do I need for a full setup?

A full setup uses two BeaconLights — one on each side of the DDU5 for left and right peripheral coverage. The DDU5 has two BeaconLight ports, one per side. Each BeaconLight is sold individually so you can start with one or purchase two for the full spotter experience.

What can BeaconLights display?

Through SimHub, BeaconLights can display spotter blind spot warnings, flag statuses (yellow, blue, green, red, white), ABS and TC activation, low fuel alerts, and any other custom LED effect you configure. Each LED is individually addressable so you have full control over colour, brightness, and animation.

Do BeaconLights need their own USB port?

No — BeaconLights connect directly to the DDU5's dedicated BeaconLight port via the included USB-C to USB-C cable. No additional USB port on your PC is required. All power and data passes through the DDU5.

How do I configure BeaconLights?

BeaconLights are configured entirely through SimHub. Once connected via the DDU5, they appear as an addressable LED device in SimHub where you can assign effects, colours, and triggers to each LED individually. No separate software or drivers are needed.

What sims are supported?

BeaconLights support any simulator that SimHub supports, including iRacing, Assetto Corsa, Assetto Corsa Competizione, Le Mans Ultimate, rFactor 2, Automobilista 2, F1 series, WRC, and many more. SimHub's supported games list is regularly updated.

How do BeaconLights mount to my rig?

Each BeaconLight includes a carbon mounting arm and 2x M5 T-Nuts that fit standard aluminium extrusion profiles found on most sim rigs. They can also mount to the DDU5's dedicated BeaconLight mounting points, keeping cabling clean and units in the optimal peripheral position.

How long does shipping to Australia take?

BeaconLights ship directly from our warehouse on the Gold Coast, QLD. For in-stock orders, standard shipping typically takes 2–5 business days within Australia. Express options are available at checkout.
