Better FOV. Better Position.

BavarianSimTec Spacer — slim profile for better field of view

The Spacer's ultra-slim 32mm central diameter is purpose-designed to maximise your field of view — even when running a monitor mounted directly behind the wheel. Most spacers block the display at the critical central zone. The BavarianSimTec Spacer doesn't. You get the wheel position you want without sacrificing the screen real estate you need.

Unwavering Stability.

BavarianSimTec Spacer Black — strength and stability

Machined from high-strength anodised aluminium, the Spacer is built to handle the torque of high-powered direct-drive wheelbases without flex or movement. Both sides feature 3 fully threaded holes and 3 non-threaded holes, giving you complete flexibility to connect any steering wheel and wheelbase combination. The 70mm bolt pattern is industry-standard, so it works with Asetek, Simucube, Fanatec, Moza, and other leading bases out of the box.

FAQs About this product

Which wheelbase bolt patterns is the Spacer compatible with?

The Spacer uses a 70mm bolt pattern on both sides, compatible with all common direct-drive wheelbases including Asetek, Simucube, Fanatec, Moza, and others. Both sides feature 3 fully threaded and 3 non-threaded holes, giving you complete flexibility when connecting different steering wheels and wheelbases.

What length Spacer should I choose?

The right length depends on your seating position and monitor setup. The 50mm is the most common choice for a subtle adjustment. The 100mm suits drivers who run monitors close behind the wheel and want better FOV clearance. The 200mm suits those who need a significant reach adjustment or run a very deep monitor setup.

Will the Spacer affect my force feedback feel?

No — the Spacer is machined from high-strength anodised aluminium with no flex or give, so it does not affect force feedback fidelity. Torque transfers cleanly through the spacer to the wheel with no dampening or loss of detail.

Do I need any special tools to install the Spacer?

No special tools are required. The Spacer comes with 6x M5 x 16mm screws and installs using a standard hex key. Simply mount the Spacer to your wheelbase using the included screws, then attach your steering wheel to the other side as normal. The process takes a few minutes.

Does the slim 32mm centre affect cable routing?

The 32mm central diameter is designed to be slim for better field of view, but there is sufficient clearance for standard USB-C cables used by BavarianSimTec wheels to route cleanly. If you're using a quick release system, cable routing is typically managed by the QR itself and is unaffected by the spacer.

Is the Spacer compatible with quick release systems?

Yes — the Spacer is designed to work with quick release systems. It mounts between the wheelbase and the quick release hub, with the QR then attaching to the wheel-side of the spacer. This lets you keep your quick release functionality while gaining the positioning benefit of the spacer.

How long does shipping to Australia take?

The Spacer ships directly from our warehouse on the Gold Coast, QLD. For in-stock orders, standard shipping typically takes 2–5 business days within Australia. Express options are available at checkout.

Can I stack two Spacers for extra depth?

Technically yes, since both sides share the same 70mm bolt pattern. However, we'd recommend simply choosing the 200mm option if you need more than 100mm of extension, as a single machined piece will always be more rigid than two stacked spacers.
