Discover the Sabelt P99 EVO I Formula Cockpit

The Sabelt P99 EVO I is a purpose-built formula-style cockpit designed for sim racers chasing a true single-seater driving experience. Unlike multi-discipline rigs, the P99 is engineered specifically for a low, reclined seating position, delivering a level of realism that closely mirrors real-world formula cars.

Built in Italy using high-grade aluminium profiles and precision-machined components, the P99 offers exceptional rigidity for high-end setups. It’s designed to handle powerful direct drive wheelbases and load cell pedals without flex, maintaining consistency and stability even under aggressive inputs.

This is not a “do everything” cockpit — and that’s exactly the point. The P99 is optimised for formula-style driving, where seating position, pedal angle, and driver ergonomics play a critical role in immersion and performance. If you primarily race open-wheel cars, the difference compared to a traditional upright GT cockpit is immediately noticeable.

What to Expect

The P99 EVO I is supplied as a cockpit frame only, allowing you to build your setup around your preferred seat, wheelbase, and pedals.  You can also check out our bundles here.

Its adjustable design allows you to fine-tune your driving position, while maintaining a consistent formula-style layout. Once assembled, the chassis feels extremely solid, with minimal flex even when paired with high-torque systems.

Who is the P99 EVO I for?

The P99 EVO I is ideal for sim racers who:

  • primarily drive formula, open-wheel or hypercars

  • want a more realistic, low seating position

  • are building a high-end setup with premium hardware

It’s a strong choice if you’re looking for a dedicated formula cockpit that prioritises realism and performance.

Who it’s NOT for

If you’re looking for a flexible cockpit for GT, drifting or mixed disciplines, a more adjustable platform like the S99 EVO is likely a better fit.

The P99 is intentionally more specialised — designed to do one thing exceptionally well rather than everything reasonably well.

Our Take

The P99 EVO I delivers one of the closest experiences to a true formula driving position in sim racing. It’s not the most versatile option, but for the right setup, that’s exactly what makes it stand out.

If realism and immersion are your priority, and you’re building a serious rig, the P99 offers a level of experience that more general-purpose cockpits simply can’t match.
