Why is it so expensive?

There are a couple of factors here. It is designed and manufactured in Italy, it is designed and manufactured to the highest motorsport safety regulations and will be shipped to your door from across the world by air.

Can i get it any cheaper?

Yes, there are two options to get it cheaper. One will be the discount in the description, the second is if we put it on a boat when we make a substanital order from Sabelt. Of course that would take a lot longer between time at sea and waiting until we are making a big order. Feel free to contact us if you are not in a hurry.

Is this overkill for a racing simulator?

Yes, probably. If you need a seat for your simulator engineered to this standard of safety, i would be a little worried. This definitely isn't for everyone but could be an amazing feature on a very special simulator.

Why does it take so long?

These are made to order in Italy. Shipping can take ages too.

How do i mount this thing?

It has side mounting holes, much like most other sim racing seats. You will need some brackets though. You can get Sabelt ones or it will work with most other side mount brackets too.

LIt is a light weight but extremely strong fibreglass shell

Can i put it in my race car?

Yes, you can. Even better buy two, one for your sim and one for your car. We'll even cut you a deal.
